ABOUT DR. MARCEL
Dr. Marcel began her academic journey at the University of Texas at Austin and later attended Baylor University for her undergraduate studies. Her passion for medicine drove her to pursue her career early, leading her ahead of schedule to transition directly to LSU Health Shreveport, where she dedicated herself to the rigorous demands of medical education. In 2016, she proudly earned her medical degree.
Following her graduation, Dr. Marcel completed her Internal Medicine Residency at LSU Health Shreveport, where her dedication and leadership skills were recognized as she served as Chief Resident in 2019. This role not only enhanced her clinical expertise but also allowed her to mentor and guide fellow residents, further solidifying her commitment to the field.
Dr. Marcel is fully licensed to practice medicine in the State of Louisiana and holds board certification in Internal Medicine from the American Board of Internal Medicine.
Outside of her professional endeavors, Dr. Marcel cherishes her family life. She is married and a mother of three. In her free time, she enjoys traveling and spending quality time with friends and family. Dr. Marcel's dedication to both her profession and her personal life exemplifies her well-rounded character and commitment to making a positive impact in the lives of others.
